these little bunnies are part of the big shop update planned for next week...i also have several kitties in the works as well as penguins!
yesterday was possibly the most emotionally exhaustive day i have had in ages. i took the whole day off from work in order to get my car registered here in rhode island.
it took me about 2 hours and going to 4 places to get my VIN check paperwork taken care of, which included going to some random warehouse at the port of providence that overlooked the sewage treatment plant. after that was done i grabbed some breakfast and then headed to the DMV in pawtucket. i went in and was told by the guy at the counter that he couldn't take the paperwork because of a crossed out & corrected error on the title, and handed me a mound of paperwork to fill out. i went out the car, turned it on, and called my dad (who is the one who gave me the car) to tell him i had additional paperwork for him to fill out.
as i am sitting there on the cell phone, smoke starts to pour out from the hood of my car. i turn off the engine and with my dad still on the phone tell him what is going on. he tells me he will call AAA and call me back. i called kristin and asked her if she would mind picking me up at the DMV parking lot, which she very graciously did! between her being so awesome and driving me to the dealership and post office and my dad arranging to get the car looked at over the phone, i was able to pick up my repaired car last night. apparently the sensor that tells the light to go on when the car is overheating was broken, along with the fan in the radiator. kristin said my car wasn't ready to become a rhode islander yet, but hopefully next week when i try again, it will go a little smoother...
in other less stressful news, i finished knitting a earflap hat! just in time for the nice warmer spring temps...so i will have to put it away, but come next winter i will have a super cute hat! i still need to block it and weave in the ends, but you get the idea. i made it with that yarn i got at webs.
happy friday all, and i hope everyone has a productive weekend!
