yes, even on vacation i sew. i know, i am totally ridiculous. i made this pattern for a yeti, while i have been here in california, and i will also make some sasquatches when i return my hovel of a studio. actually in just a few hours i will be on a plane trying to sleep, while it makes it way back across the country to deposit me in rhode island late tomorrow morning.
i leave you with a picture of my only real cookie making endeavor, made from an ice box cookie recipe i snagged off martha stewart:
i hope everyone's holiday was a nice as mine was! i will be updating the shop with lots of awesome-ness in just a week...so look out! sneak peeks will up shortly...

well, i am done mailing orders, making stuff for shows, and basically doing crafty stuff in general. i am exhausted. i really think this was one of the most intense and rewarding holiday seasons so far in sewing stars land. i owe everyone who came out the shows, or ordered from my site a HUGE thank you!
now all that is left is to pack my suitcase (hence the laundry in the background), and head off to california to spend the holidays with my dad & brother. i want to bake cookies, wrap presents, decorate the house, and finally relax a bit. i feel like a wind up toy that finally just wound down.
i will post from the other coast i am sure, but before i forget to say it, HAPPY HOLIDAYS everyone!
the view from the table was mostly like this once the doors opened at noon. it was a lot of fun, even though i was on only 3.5 hours of sleep...it helped that i also shared my table with kristin, and our friend allison came too, thank goodness they were there! i was a total mess...
now i am busy packing web orders, and the shop is closing until january this wednesday. once my sewing stars holiday rush is over, i will be able to make presents for friends & family, as well as join the droves of people already at the malls, and busy baking treats. i am looking forward to it! until then i keep packing orders!
i have been busy beyond belief. it is good, but also quite exhausting too. this sunday is the boston bazaar bizarre. i have been sewing away to try & have enough stock for it...it is one of the longest running, and amazingly well put on indie craft shows around, so if you are nearby please stop by! it will be awesome for sure!
and if you can't make it to the boston bazaare bizarre, all stock i have left from the web shop & the shows will be dropped off at craftland which is open wednedays-sundays until the 22nd here in providence, rhode island!
okay, shameless plug over! i am actually really looking forward to relaxing once i head back home for the holidays. i want to bake cookies, make a pie, cook a yummy dinner for my little family when i finally get there. it seems like it is lifetime away, but i also know it will be here in just a heartbeat. i can't wait! i love the holidays...
