i wanted to share the wonderful postcards i got through my little mochi's postcard swap. for 2 weeks my mail was no longer just junk and bills, but also these wonderful handmade postcards! i really want to take part again. it was awesome!

i walked into work this morning while little snow flakes fell out of the sky here and there. even instantly melting snowflakes make me happy. i suppose because i grew up without snow, i still feel like a little kid when i see it. also, on my way in i stopped in the post office to get stamps for my little mochi's postcard swap. i finished mine up last night when i got back from craft night...
the theme was 'chinese new year: the year of the dog', so i drew up the lanterns with doggies. but i wanted it to be a little more that just my drawing, so i also made window clings and cards, then made my postcard into an envelope. i hope to mail them later today...i can't wait to see what postcards i get in return!
so i need to thank several people who i got wonderful packages in the mail. pictured above i now have an awesome bunny from lisa and a mummy from cuddly rigor mortis. you are both so talented! thank you!
i also got a fun packages filled with awesome japanese stuffs from cheryl & jess! and a wonderful handmade card from kir thank you all so much!
other than that, i spent my weekend making some awesome invitations for my halloween party, but i have to wait to post pictures of what i made until i pass them out (so i don't ruin the surprise) tuesday at craft night...
