"Y" is for Yeti

yes, even on vacation i sew. i know, i am totally ridiculous. i made this pattern for a yeti, while i have been here in california, and i will also make some sasquatches when i return my hovel of a studio. actually in just a few hours i will be on a plane trying to sleep, while it makes it way back across the country to deposit me in rhode island late tomorrow morning.

a whale of a good time

i realize i left for christmas vacation the day after the bazaar bizarre in boston, so i neglected to post any pics from the event. it was really fun this year! i think i had the best time i have ever had a craft show. which might be because i actually slept the night before, and therefore was awake and able to enjoy it! it was swamped with people! i started with 70 pouches, and left with one. thanks to everyone to did come to the BBB and say hello and buy fun stuff! i got myself a few goodies too, including a fern animal creation, which i absolutely love!!

after the show i packed up my suitcase and took way longer than it should ever take to finally land in LAX. i did last minute shopping, and baked and cooked up a storm. tonight i am heading back to providence to return to reality...oh well!

i lack the ability to sit still, so i first did some drawing, then i decided i wanted to sew. i picked up some felt and hand sewed whales...don't ask my why. i made 5 whale species, and i think they might translate into a larger fleece animals for the shop...what do you all think?

the webshop will be re-opening january 2nd. i am going to make sure to load in new pouches, and i also have some new designs for button & pouches to unveil then too...in addition to valentine's card sets. i will keep you posted! now i gotta pack up my suitcase again...later!! ♥ teresa

baby, its cold outside...

well, the web shop is closed until i come back from seeing my family for the holidays...and all the orders are on their way to their destinations, which might even be under some trees out there!

but if you really wanted a penguin, there are still a couple available from the soft sell show at the DVA gallery in chicago...

i will also be at the Bazaar Bizzare Boston this weekend! i have sewn up like a million zipper pouches, and in almost every design i have, so if you are in new england, hop in your car, take a train, make your friend drive you, whatever it takes to get to boston! the BBB is always a fun time, with DJ's, and tons of the very best crafty vendors...personally i plan on doing lots of shopping there myself!

dreaming of a sunny christmas

how did that happen? the holidays are approaching faster than i ever thought! i have been making these felt ornament snowmen among lots of other things...

life has been insane. but i guess, when isn't it? i seriously can't remember the last time i relaxed...no rest for the wicked, right? i am not even sure about going back to california for the holidays...which makes me sad. i want to be there for long time, but due to obligations i will be lucky to be there for a few days at best.

in the meantime, there is a lot of work to do, so i best get back to it!

christmas, remembered...

i blabbed on enough about my trip already, so here are a few pictures...

zoey knew which presents were hers and opened them all herself. she then ran around the livingroom playing with them while we opened ours. it was really funny. there is also a pic of the doggie biscuits i made her. and the last picture is of the nasty 80's chandelier in the 'christmas dumpster'. we replaced it with a much nicer & smaller fixture from ikea. i would have more pictures, but my camera battery was running super low...

i really do hope everyone has a wonderful time! i am having a nice relaxing vacation, enjoying my time with my father, brother, and the doggie, zoey. i even baked zoey some dog biscuts tonight! i am also thankful to everyone in my life who have been there for me, and to everyone who loves my handmade goodies. i hope to keep sharing my art and creative endeavours in the new year!

it's gonna be a blue christmas...

this evening i decorated for christmas. i have 2 tinsel trees, and i loaded them with ornaments! it was really fun to open the boxes and see all the old ornaments, like seeing old friends again...

i got beautifully handmade tags from dawbis! they are so pretty, i decided to decorate with them...and while i was out and about today i picked up some awesome wrapping papers from the Martha Stewart line at Kmart, and neat snowflake tissue from Target.

when i was digging out my decorations i came across some christmas lights i bought a long time ago...if you live in southern california, let me tell you how lucky you are to have stats! oh how i miss that store...

so i am ready to have happy holidays and all that jazz, but i am not ready for the craft sales between now and then! i really should get myself back on task and make more stuff...
