secret project revealed!
it is a small booklet of 5 patterns and directions! the patterns include how to make: a bunny, an octopus or squid, a doggie, a monkey & a penguin. i have all the patterns printed onto a cardstock weight paper ready to be cut out and used right away! i think the pattern difficulty runs from easy to intermediate.
i want to make a more comprehensive book someday, but in the mean time here is a sweet little sampling! i am also going to sell all the stuffed animals i used as samples to test the patterns and also photograph for the book...the book and the animals will all go on sale in the webshop tomorrow...

little penguins...part of the secret project, which i am hoping to reveal by tuesday...these little penguins are only 4" tall. i had fun making them in blues.
this week has been kinda weird...i don't have much to say, enjoy the pictures...later!

my dad's dog bebe was put to sleep this week. she had been ill for about 2 years, but i guess last weekend she stopped eating, and by thanksgiving eve she was not doing any better and the vet said it was time to put her down. every summer break from college i hung out with bebe & zoey (my dad's other dog), and chris & i even lived there for a year with 'the girls' as we called them. i am really sad i won't see her this christmas, but i hope she is having fun chasing squirrels up in doggie heaven...
it's gonna be a blue christmas...
this evening i decorated for christmas. i have 2 tinsel trees, and i loaded them with ornaments! it was really fun to open the boxes and see all the old ornaments, like seeing old friends again...
i got beautifully handmade tags from dawbis! they are so pretty, i decided to decorate with them...and while i was out and about today i picked up some awesome wrapping papers from the Martha Stewart line at Kmart, and neat snowflake tissue from Target.
when i was digging out my decorations i came across some christmas lights i bought a long time ago...if you live in southern california, let me tell you how lucky you are to have stats! oh how i miss that store...
so i am ready to have happy holidays and all that jazz, but i am not ready for the craft sales between now and then! i really should get myself back on task and make more stuff...

i hope everyone had a good thanksgiving yesterday. i ate lots of turkey, and pies...then sat around my boyfriend's family house sewing away. it was really nice. well, i the shop is filled up with some more stuff, but i have a lot more sewing to do! the boston bazaar bizarre and craftland to get ready for! plus i am hoping to get my secret project done this week... so i am going to get some lunch, and get back to working! see ya!

hand sewn felt squid & octopus. i think i might make a few as ornaments to sell...i got some safety eyes from crs craft. i like how they look a lot. i also got owl eyes and cat eyes. i have no idea when i will ever use them, but they were so cheap, and neat looking!
today i got my new stamp for the tags i will putting in my pouches from now on. i really wanted to make sure it said 'sewing stars' on my pouches. i decided to take some awesome advice and put it outside, but make it skinny and vertical along the side of the pouch. sorry for the not-so-great picture, but i was feeling too lazy to properly light...
so much to do, and so little time to do it! more caffiene scotty!

i am setting the date... i am going to be doing a shop update november 25th at 1:00pm. i will have new paintings (like the one above), stuffed animals, lots of pouches, mr. bunny holiday card sets, and hopefully lots more!
i can't believe next week is thanksgiving already! every year i spend the holiday with my long time boyfriend's family. his mom is an excellent cook, and there will be lots of homemade and local bakery pies there too! i will be making some pumpkin spice cookies, in the shape of pumpkins of course...
well, i need to get back to work!

these medium sized raccoons are on their way to ohio...they will be taking part in plush rush! i hope they have a good time...
so, i have been working on stock for the shop, and for upcoming craft shows. i am a little worried i won't be able to make enough stuff! i have already started up-ing the caffiene intake, and i am hoping to spend the next 2 weeks focused on production. at this point i am aiming for a shop update for the day after thanksgiving...
