I took part in the Union Handmade show that was run by the people of Bazaar Bizarre Boston. I hardly sold anything. It was a testing of waters for me... and apparently it's gotten ice cold since I last took a dip.
$40 was too much for a squid, when in the past I have often sold both a squid and whale for $80 to people so excited to get them. I am not even upset about my bust of a show. More resigned to the fact that Sewing Stars might truly have reached its end.
One last thing I may end up doing is designing a final booklet that I'd have done in a short run with all the patterns to things I sold over the years: kitties, owls, squids, whales, tea cups, etc.If time permits, that maybe what I will end up doing... A farewell booklet to the few of you who might want the patterns to make yourselves. I figure if I no longer have the love I once did for making them, I may as well pass it on to others who would find joy in it. In the end, I still want my creations or even their patterns to bring smiles to people's faces...
